NATO PROGRAMME FOR RELEASED PERSONNEL OF THE
ARMED FORCES OF BOSNIA AND HERZEGOVINA
Implemented by the International Organization for Migration (IOM)

Status of the project: Ongoing

The NATO Trust Fund for Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) implemented by IOM is set up by NATO Member States and other donors to assist BiH with the economic and social reintegration of Released Personnel (RP) whose contracts with the Armed Forces will end between 2010 and 2012 in the context of Article 101 of the Law on Service limiting at 35 the age for active service.

Bosnia and Herzegovina is undertaking a major defence reform initiatives in an effort to stabilize the country and make it a credible candidate for both NATO’s Partnership for Peace and the European Union Stabilization and Association Agreement process.
